Do I take the cigars out of their plastic wrapper before putting them in the humidor?
Answered By Allan Hixby, Editor
The wrappers you find in a cigar are called
the cello wrapper. You don't need to remove
the plastic wrapper if you want to store them
in the humidor. The only purpose of the cello
wrapper is to protect the cigars from damage.
However, if you want to let your cigars age
better, you can remove the plastic wrappers
when you store them in the humidor. Some
people remove the plastic wrappers because it
is more appealing to look at when you open
the humidor.
