Can cigars age in a humidor?
Answered By Allan Hixby, Editor
Yes, cigars can age inside a cigar humidor.
This is because of the humidity a humidor
gives. Always remember the general rule of
thumb whenever you receive a new box of
cigars. Store it for a month inside a humidor
before smoking it. When you smoke a newly
arrived cigar, you will notice that the
taste, the burn, and the draw are poor in
quality. This is because of the change in
humidity the cigar undergoes when it is being
shipped. Therefore, it is important that you
should let the cigar age first inside the
humidor after you bought it or has been
shipped to you.
