How to preserve cigars, without a humidor, whilst travelling?
Can you answer Alex's question about humidors?:
I recently travelled to cuba and bought two cases of cigars (Cohibas). I hear that without a humidor they can dry out, however im travelling for another 4 months throughtout latin america staying in cheap hostels. Does anyone know whether they'll be ok, or if there is some way i can look after them?

cigar/tobacco stores sell humidification products that are cheap ranging from 5-10 dollars..
They will dry out after that period of time. If you can find a Rubbermaid type container – air and water tight, that may get you by. Like the previous poster stated, adding a humidification device will help.
I know you said "without a humidor" but a travel humidor would be best, you can get decent sized ones too.
