Maintaining a Cigar Humidor and keeping the Cigars alive?

Can you answer Audi11's question about humidors?:

I have this cigar humidor that holds about 20 cigars, how often should I fill the moisture sponge that keeps the cigars fresh???

If you at humistat solution to the sponge I think you only have to refill monthly.

You should check the hygrometer regularly and fill the sponge as needed. If you put too much in, the cigars will eventually absorb the extra liquid and rot.

with the sponge put in a shot glass of scotch or wiskey and just keep the glass full and when the sponge is totally dry get it damp
